A New Theme

Many new theme options came out, so I've set the forum to a different theme, since this theme appears to have more clear features. I felt that the other theme was difficult to navigate.

As always, reply to this thread if you have any difficulties.

My PC is not an IPhone. This theme is really not nice, but it looks like most of the internet today (I hope this horrible trend will fade and websites will start to look good again one day). Everything is too huge and my avatar gets distorted.

This theme isn't exactly my piece of cake either. I preferred the older one. This is more a suggestion question than anything else... but is there a way to allow individual forum users to pick a theme out of a chosen group?

Like, user A picks out theme 2 on their settings, to them the sight displays ln theme 2. At the same time, user B has theme 3 chosen and its displayed as theme 3 to them. Theme 1 is the default theme that you get if you don't choose a different one.

I'm only asking since I've seen it as an option on other forums, and it might help of it's an available option on this site.... If it's not available here though, I'll understand. Even then though, this theme isn't my cup of tea, and I prefer the older one.

Yes, there is an option for choosing individual themes, but that will take some work in order to get everything working on them, and I may have to do that later.

EDIT: Blue Eyes, the previous theme, should have all the features working on it. If anyone preferred that theme, you may choose it as your theme by going into the Look and Layout section of your profile, and selecting that theme for yourself.

I actually really like this new theme, personally.  But then again, I like app-like themes anyway.

I like the last layout better.  This one always loads the chat right at the top, so I have to scroll down each time I open a thread before I can read it.  The posts are much bigger, so that means a lot more scrolling.  And the titles of each thread appear HUGE.

Well, I'm sorry, but there are ways to change the theme to the other theme that you prefer for yourself, as I mentioned above. I'm...honestly not about to change it back, after I went through a ton of trouble trying to get it to work. Unfortunately, our software doesn't come with a lot of themes, and so none will be perfect for everyone. I will leave the option to change to a few different themes if I can, but I will be leaving this one as the default for now.

just to be fair i actually find that i quite like this one...it takes some getting used to of course but don't all changes? in terms of readability i find it much better, and the font size when typing a reply is just the right size!

I don't find the option to change the layout back.

Go to your profile, and click "Modify Profile". Go to "Look and Layout". In forum theme, you will see "Forum or Board Default". Next to that will be "(change)". Click change, and choose the last theme.

There's either no such option or I'm dumb ...

No such option for what in particular? I'll see if I can fix the issue, but I'll need more information first.

The profile editing section has all kinds of options but no "look and layout" one.

Look and Layout will be in a drop-down menu.

Yes, and there are all the options with the fields to fill out and to upload an avatar, but no drop-down menu.

Nevermind, found it  :p
