Regarding the Vent Topic and Access Pass

As some of you may have noticed, the vent topic is no longer in the General Discussion section.

This is due to some content that both scare some users in addition to having the potential to cause legal problems. As such, the original topic has been removed and remade in the Access Pass section with a new guideline in place.

For those of you wondering what Access Pass is, it is a section where heated topics can be discussed and/or debated. However, due to the sensitive nature of that section, only Full Access members can even see it, let alone access it.

All users with 11 or more posts (including the intro) become eligible to request Access Pass by the admins. You can do so via your profile or by messaging an admin.

While it may not be any of my business, may I ask what "legal trouble" this refers to?.

Legal trouble is a possibility if things get carried away. Nothing has happened at this time, and we are simply trying to keep everyone safe. This new thread is heavily moderated to remain safe. Hence why it was moved. Some members expressed discomfort with statements in the thread, which is another reason it's in Access Pass now instead. That way, only those who opt in can see it.

I entirely agree with it being in access pass, but I don't see why the original thread was not simply moved there. (Just expressing my opinion, but you know my stance on "heavy moderation").

Edit: Also, what "laws" were broken/pushed? Might be helpful to know so those lines are not "approached" again.

Covering in next announcement; but turns out there was nothing wrong with anything upon second inspection of complaints. So, mistake on our parts, sorry.
